GF: Good Food GC: Good Company
So it’s a Saturday night, me and a group of friends want it to be GFGC, We’re in Roseville, CA and don’t want to experiment to much with a place we have not been to so we went to BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse. Bj’s is an interesting restaurant that is known for its Beer, Pizookies, and American style Cuisine.
The first thing is the wait time was 40 minutes………and when you’re hungry that seems like forever, but with our dedication to eat we survived and got seated. The seating and atmosphere of the place was good, it was warm, comfortable, but the lighting was too dim for my liking. There were plenty of TV’s to watch the game on in the restaurant as well. So the interior and atmosphere gets an 8/10
Now it’s time to order we started it off with a Best BeginningsTM Appetizer Combo that had Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Mozzarella Sticks, Avocado Egg Rolls and Santa Fe Spring Rolls. The appetizer was predictable nothing too great but it was worth ordering to give us some fuel before the main course.
(tip: appetizers always help get conversation stated).
We ordered two Pizzas, the Vegetarian that had sliced mushrooms, green peppers, black olives, white onions and seasoned tomatoes and there Portobello mushroom that had flame grilled Portobello mushrooms, balsamic vinaigrette marinated oven roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, fresh thyme, parsley, fontina cheese and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Now from reading the description of the Portobello mushroom pizza it sounds awesome, it could have been amazing but it was a huge let down and should be fined for false advertisement, on the other hand the Vegetarian was good and helped pick up the slack of the Portobello. For drinks, since we don’t drink alcohol we had the usual cokes, 7ups, over cold ice. So the most important reason to go to a restaurant the Food gets a 6.75/10
(if the meal had just been two vegetarians it would have been a 7.5/10)
So we talked about the Good Food part let’s get to the Good Company. The company was Good, it definitely helps when you have dinner with a friend you haven’t seen in a while. The conversation consisted of where you’re working, potentials, sports, GFGC, stories from college life, and more of the usual. What made it really Good was the discovery of completely new things about your friends life, the x-factor in the equation is always new news.
The Company for the night gets a 9/10
So the average rating of the night is…………………………………………… a 7.92/10
So at the end of the day it was GFGC but better GC
